Creation Myth

$125.00

This is a found object sculpture I made from a sea clam carved and stained with foraged ocher pigments and acrylic paint.

The image is of a bird (top portion of shell) flying over a small child carved in blue who is perhaps emerging (from the lower portion of the shell). Drawing on many creation mythologies of being born of the sea and also emerging from shells - this imagery has a long personal connection to me that I’ve replicated in my art practice over the years.

This piece measures 6”x7” and comes with a small wooden tripod stand, although it sits naturally flat on its own.
